April's #BehemothBox includes 7 amazing beers from around the world showcasing some of the best breweries and examples of various styles you'll get your paws on. From Beavertown's latest seasonal, the much hyped and cult followed, blood orange IPA Bloody 'Ell to Belgian masters of fusing historic styles with a modern twist Brasserie De La Senne's birthday beer, which is brewed on 22nd December every year and is always a blond but with varying hops. Last year's offering were Slovenian.
The box also includes highly respected Scottish brewers Tempest's first dabble with their new Vermont yeast strain to create a monstrous double IPA loaded with Citra, Mosaic, and Rakau in the form of Alligator Man. As you would expect, it is a big juicy affair and easily drinkable despite the 9.2% ABV.
Alongside that sits up and coming Bristol brewers Lost and Grounded with their saison / witbier hybrid Hop Hand Fallacy. A bright, vibrant and refreshing beer which is both citrusy and hoppy.
Irish craft brewing has been taking off as of late and we're delighted to include an offering brewed by two of the up and coming stars of the scene. The Hare & The Hag is an Irish Coffee Milk Stout brewed by Sligo's The White Hag (there is the hag) and County Donnegal's Kinnegar (who bring the hare to the party).
Saving the big hitters until last we also have a frankly decadent 750ml bomber from one of the USA's most revered brewers The Lost Abbey. An homage to the rich history of Belgian brewing the brewery was conceived by the man behind equally legendary brewery Pizza Port. Devotion Ale is a hoppy and piney blonde ale designed to be a hop driven beer with the aroma presenting notes of fresh hay and grassy fields. Very special stuff and not seen kicking about these shores very often.
Finally, we have another American bomber conceived by the unlikely combination of rock band Deftones teaming up with San Diego’s Belching Beaver to create Phantom Bride IPA, a hoppy West Coast style beer loaded up with Mosaic, Amarillo, Simcoe and Citra hops. The ingredients were handpicked by Deftones frontman Chino Moreno, who knows a thing or two about craft beer. “Really excited to see our Phantom Bride IPA hit the shelves,” says Chino. “As a huge beer connoisseur it was a privilege collaborating with Belching Beaver on the flavour profiles and coming out with a beer that I would put right up with any of my favourites. Good stuff!” What more can you say?!
